Resources for Software Development, Utilities and Example Code
Neuralynx provides MATLAB resource tools for the customization of software programs, including:
MATLAB MEX Files for importing and exporting NLX files to and from MATLAB variables
NLX to MATLAB Import Files for Unix/Linux/Mac® OSX with pre-compiled binaries and re-compiling scripts
NetCom Online Development packages for C++, C++/MFC, VB.NET, C# and MATLAB, including examples using each language, and 64- and 32-bit versions of the library
Online MATLAB interfaces, provided through our Netcom interface library, allow the development of custom real-time experiment control programs. MATLAB interfaces are provided for online ATLAS Neurophysiology System interaction for receiving data records from the ATLAS Acquisition Amplifier through the Pegasus Software, as well as for controlling the Pegasus Software and ATLAS Acquisition Amplifier hardware interfaces.
MATLAB Netcom Examples submitted by Neuralynx customers and as part of in-house projects, with the majority of scripts utilizing the Development Software and the File Converters & Utilities
Please note: These software examples are UNSUPPORTED by Neuralynx and should be used for reference only.
All code should be verified by your lab if used in publication or analysis.
Source Signal Imaging Inc.
Providing the Most Advanced, Powerful and Useable Software Tools to
Measure, Describe and Visualize Human Brain Dynamics
Source Signal Imaging Inc. (SSI) specializes in multimodal source estimation techniques that simultaneously combine EEG and MRI datasets to better answer “where” things are happening in the brain, and “when” things change.
SSI’s principal product is EMSE® Suite, a six module software toolkit that supports the key steps required to combine electrophysiological data (like EEG and MEG) with image data (like CT or MRI) for multimodal dynamic functional imaging. EMSE® Suite runs under the Microsoft Windows® family of operating systems as well as Linux, on Intel-compatible processors.
NOTE: The EMSE Software Suite is not intended for the diagnosis or treatment of disease.
NetCom
API for Online Data Analysis and Experiment Control
NetCom is an application programming interface (API) that communicates with Pegasus for online interaction with custom user-written programs, resulting in a very powerful experiment control environment. NetCom provides network delivery of standard data records generated by Pegasus for real-time data analysis and experiment control. The data may be distributed across the network to one or more computers, each running multiple analysis programs. Commands may be sent to control Pegasus and its hardware interfaces as well as requesting status of most Pegasus parameters.
NetCom programs can generate Event Records to mark significant events during an experiment. These will be logged to the Pegasus Event Record file (.nev). All Event Records processed by Pegasus will be sent to all NetCom programs.
